Applied Nanoscience Invited to Present at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on NanoFense(TM) Formulation

Carlsbad, CA | Posted on March 19th, 2009

Applied Nanoscience Inc. (ANI) (PINKSHEETS: APNN), a nanotechnology-based filtration development company, today announced that it has accepted an invitation from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to present on its core technology, NanoFense™, a proprietary antimicrobial nanoparticle formulation developed by ANI to coat or impregnate virtually any air filter media. The material presented will specifically focus on protective and surgical mask applications and comprehensively cover the company's successful independent testing against avian influenza and other harmful pathogens.

"We are excited and flattered to have this opportunity in sharing our continued technology developments with such an important organization. DHHS is certainly qualified to offer constructive advice on ANI's primary objective of proactively protecting people from harmful disease," said Thomas K. Allen, President and CEO, ANI. "In addition, we hope to progress in making the technology widely available to consumers with the guidance provided at the meeting."
