Abstract:
The Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC), as the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran, participated in the 10th International Symposium on Nanotechnology (Nano Korea 2012) in Seoul from August 16 to 18 to present the country's latest technological achievements.
The INIC along with five Iranian companies which provide nanotechnology-related products/services, outstood among 350 participant companies (setting up almost 550 exhibition spaces) from 11 different countries.
Iran displayed the following products in Nano Korea 2012:
Sputtering coating device by Nanostructured Coatings Co.
Electrospinning device by Fanavaran Nano-Meghyas Co.
Soundproof pipes by Parsa Polymer Sharif Co.
Nano Silica by Fadak Group
Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) by Nano System Pars Co.
As a subsidiary program of the exhibition, the names of the top researchers and companies which participated in the event last year were announced and awarded prizes. The main fields of activity of the winners were related to nanomaterials, nanometrology and their environmental applications.
The event was held in COEX trade fairground, Seoul.
