Piedmont Triad Partnership restructures
Abstract:
The Piedmont Triad Partnership has formally merged with a separate group that it created, the Piedmont Triad Leadership Group Executive Committee, according to an announcement.
The Leadership Group was born during the Partnership's three-year, $15-million federal work force development, or "Wired," project. It has become a significant fundraising force for regional economic development under its chairman, BB&T CEO Kelly King, who spearheaded a successful drive to raise more than $6.5 million to support industry clusters in logistics, furnishings, regenerative medicine and nanotechnology.
