Nanotechnology is the way to go
Abstract:
The Indian Government has already sanctioned Rs 1,000 crore under a five year Nanoscience and Technology mission to provide an impetus to the upcoming sector of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Discussing the limitless possibilities of this sector were delegates from over 22 countries who had congregated at the Ansal Institute of Technology, Gurgaon.
The week-long international conference was organised with the support of the Department of Science and Technology and The Indian National Science Academy. Speakers, some of them Nobel laureates, discussed the latest trends and provided an inter-disciplinary view of various facets of nanoscience and nanotechnology. M.P. Singh, director of Ansal Institute of Technology added that it was important to develop academic programmes in this discipline in partnership with the industry.
