Abstract:
The Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council participated in the 11th International Paint, Resin Coating and Composites Fair that was held in Tehran Permanent International Fairground from December 28 to 31, 2011.
Among the activities of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council in this exhibition, mention can be made of providing an appropriate atmosphere for negotiation, interaction between the active bodies in nanotechnology and the foreign companies who participated in the fair, and introducing the domestic achievements based on nanotechnology in paint industry such as building and traffic paints, nano additives for composites and paints, thermal insulation, antibacterial paints, and waterproof and anti-stain coatings.
Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council received over 40 requests from the visitors, most of which were related to the applications of nanotechnology in the improvement of the properties of anti-scratch, anti-stain, and waterproof coatings, polishing surfaces, products packaging to seal off the diffusion of some gases, and the creation of conductivity in polymeric materials used in auto industry.
216 companies participated in the exhibition 184 of them were form Iran. Also, 32 foreign companies from the US, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Greece, Russia, Italy, China, Turkey, and Taiwan presented their achievements in the fields of paint, resin, industrial coating, and composite.
The Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council aims to participate in the domestic and international specialized exhibitions related to nanotechnology in order to develop the applications of nanotechnology in the related sections and industries and to introduce Iran's progress and capabilities in the field of nanotechnology.
