Altair names Terry Copeland chief executive
Abstract:
Altair Nanotechnologies Inc., which makes titanium dioxide particles used in paints, pharmaceuticals and fuel cells, said Friday it named Terry Copeland as president and chief executive.
Copeland, 56, has served as the company's interim president since March. He replaces Alan Gotcher, who resigned as president and CEO in February.
The company's shares fell 14 cents, or 6.7 percent, to a 52-week low of $1.95 in late-morning trading amid a broader market decline.
