Mo. State Opens $17M Research Center
Abstract:
Once an abandoned feed mill, a $17-million research tower pairing Missouri State University scientists with private technology companies opened Wednesday with a mission to foster new jobs and manufacturing in areas such as nanotechnology.
Missouri State leaders, flanked by city, county and state officials, held a grand opening ceremony and named the center for Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., a supporter who has helped win millions of dollars in federal construction financing and research grants.
