UW wins a $10 million federal lottery

Abstract:
The federal government has recognized the potential of UW and the university has been granted funding of up to $10 million to be used over the next seven years. Two international researchers have been appointed: David Cory as the Canada Excellence research chair in quantum information processing, and Philippe Van Cappellen as Waterloo's Canada Excellence research chair in ecohydrology.
