Russian prosecutors investigate state corporations
Abstract:
Russian prosecutors said on Thursday they had begun an investigation ordered by the Kremlin into the need for many state corporations, championed as the driver of economic growth by former President Vladimir Putin.
Other state corporations being checked are Rosatom, which controls the nuclear sector, Olympstroi, which is developing the city of Sochi for the 2014 Olympics, and Rosnano, which is tasked with developing nanotechnology.
