Middle Tenn. House members ask for $160 million in projects
Abstract:
Three U.S. House members from middle Tennessee will ask for more than $160 million worth of special projects in the upcoming federal budget - including more than $35 million for the Tennessee National Guard and more than $28 million for Fort Campbell.
Rep. Lincoln Davis, D-Pall Mall, also requested funding for 21 projects, including $4 million for the nanoscience and biotechnology research program at Tennessee State University, $10 million for the Tennessee National Guard for two virtual training systems, and $14.4 million for the physical fitness center at Fort Campbell.
