Abstract:
Research and Markets (www.researchandmarkets.com/research/be836f/porous_materials) has announced the addition of John Wiley and Sons Ltd's new report "Porous Materials: Introduction to Materials Chemistry, Properties, and Applications" to their offering.
Filling a real gap in the literature, this textbook provides the knowledge vital to students for hands-on nanotechnology. As such, it covers both the materials chemistry leading to porous materials as well as their properties and uses.
As an introductory text for final year bachelor and master courses, the book starts out with the methodology necessary for creating and characterizing porous materials. It then introduces these in detail, divided into six different classes, and concludes with important application examples.
The book's didactic value is further enhanced by problems and examples with solutions, brief chapter summaries and must-know keywords.
Key Topics Covered:
* Introduction
* I. METHODS
* II. MATERIALS
* 1. Zeolites
* 2. Carbons
* 3. Metal Oxide Frameworks (MOFs)
* 4. Mesoporous Materials
* 5. Porous Polymers
* 6. Macroporous Foams
* III. APPLICATIONS
