UK polymer firms could benefit from £1bn pot.

Abstract:
Nick Sheppard, a spokesman at the Technology Strategy Board, told PRW.com that advanced materials, advanced manufacturing and nanotechnology are among the priority areas for the board.

Companies in the polymer sector could become involved by contacting Knowledge Transfer Networks, for example the Materials KTN, which includes the Polymer Innovation Network.

He stressed, though, that research and development projects will need to be collaborative to be eligible. Products that are already close to market launch will not receive funding support.
