For the record 16 January
Abstract:
Ireland's first purpose-built nanoscience research institute, The Naughton Institute at Trinity College Dublin will be officially opened by the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, on 23 January. The institute houses the Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices (CRANN) and the world's first Science Gallery. CRANN is a pioneering nanoscience research unit while the Science Gallery is a national initiative which probes major scientific issues through a programme of interactive exhibitions and events. The building has been named the Naughton Institute in recognition of a donation received from Dr Martin Naughton, chairman of the Glen Dimplex Group.
