ATDF gets $1M for next-gen tech research
Abstract:
Sematech subsidiary Advanced Technology Development Facility received $1 million in federal funding to develop the next generation of computer technology and nanotechnology initiatives.
The grant comes from the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Title of a recent appropriations bill sponsored by Congressman Lloyd Doggett.
ATDF will use the funds to develop computer technology and nanotech initiatives. Sematech research recently announced a new program to develop and test the next generation of wafers for producing computer chips, which will be a beneficiary of the new funds.
