NUS holds life sciences conference with Baden-Wurttemberg universities
Abstract:
The National University of Singapore (NUS) held a joint seminar with nine top universities from the German area of Baden-Wurttemberg on Monday.
The inaugural conference on Life Sciences marks the start of a long-term collaboration between the universities. And key to the new tie-up is cooperation in research.
"We are relying very much on the cooperation with high potential regions all over the world to bring the best universities, research universities together and closely cooperate with states with a very high-level of research and academic education. So that's why we are looking at Singapore," said Dr Peter Frankenberg, Baden-Wurttemberg State Minister.
But there are more opportunities for collaboration lined up. These include environmental technology, sustainable energy, nanotechnology and water management.
