New tech academy launching
Abstract:
Ring plans to announce the academy, called the Center of Innovation Academy, at the Center of Innovation Conference May 2. The conference will showcase the latest technology in the automotive, clean energy, digital media, life sciences and biotechnology, nanotechnology, semiconductor, software and wireless industries.
"Austin is touted as one of our country's high-tech capitals -- headquarters to such corporate greats as Dell, Freescale and National Instruments -- but what really sets us apart is our entrepreneurship and technical sophistication," Ring says. "We are a city rich with startups and small firms involved in complex technologies."
