WMU Innovation projects
Abstract:
Center for Nano-enabled Instrumentation and Nanofabrication, $383,000. The team is using a specially fabricated light microscope to manipulate nanomaterials. Nanotechnology focuses on manipulating extremely small structures -- a typical human hair is about 100,000 nanometers in diameter, for instance. The idea is to create ``nanostructures'' that can be used as sensors or assist in drug delivery or lead to products such as computer chips and fuel cells.
