SIA calls for government funding of sub-10-nm research

Abstract:
The Nanoelectronics Research Initiative would attempt to link research efforts at universities, the federal government, and the U.S. semiconductor industry, to find solutions beyond CMOS technology, the SIA said Wednesday (Dec. 1). It would target research on materials, device structures and assembly methods for microelectronic devices with feature sizes smaller than 10 nanometers, the SIA said.
