Nano test tubes get a reaction

Abstract:
Researchers at the University of Oxford and University of Nottingham, UK, have used single-walled carbon nanotubes as a "test tube" for carrying out a polymerization reaction. The resulting fullerene epoxide polymer (C60O)n had a straight, unbranched topology that has never been seen before - the material normally occurs in a tangled and branched three-dimensional form.
