Abstract:
Iran's Polymer Society is scheduled to hold the 10th International Seminar on Polymer Science and Technology in the faculty of Polymer Engineering and Colorants of Amir Kabir University of Technology from October 21 to 25 this year.
Organizers said the move aims to create an appropriate environment for idea exchange between researchers and encourage them to implement applicable projects in the field of polymer.
Among the objectives of the Seminar, mention can be made of presentation of the latest scientific and research achievements of academic and industrial researchers in the field of polymer science and technology and the exchange of idea about industrial problems and technology opportunities, especially in the field of energy saving.
The scopes of the Seminar are as follows:
o Polymeric products and their properties
o Synthesis and polymerization of polymers
o Studying polymeric reactions
o Polymer identification
o Theory and modeling in polymer
An exhibition of the latest achievements, polymeric products, and the related facilities will be held parallel to the Seminar. Moreover, a number of educational workshops will be held concurrently with the Seminar. The titles of the educational workshops related to nanotechnology are listed hereafter.
o Electrospun Nanofibres for Effective Health Care, Safe Environment, Clean
Water and Energy
o Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM)
o Polyurethanes and PU-nanocomposites, Synthesis and their applications in advanced materials
o Carbon Nanotubes
o Nanomaterials Analysis
Researchers and university students are required to register in the Seminar by the end of October 10, 2012.
