Alice Zhao earns Legacy Medal for scientific research
Abstract:
Sixteen-year-old North High School senior Alice Zhao has added another honor to her resume, receiving the Creativity Foundation's 2010 Legacy Medal "for her exceptional creative promise as a scientist." She was recognized for her "groundbreaking nanotechnology research to find cheaper ways to deal with the problems of rust and corrosion" as part of a research team at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, according to a foundation statement.
