Schumer lauds region's moves to adapt - points to job creation, nanotechnology efforts
Abstract:
The Capital Region -- despite a jobless rate that remains at a two-decade high -- is doing all the right things to restructure its economy, U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer said Tuesday.
Schumer, in his first ever appearance before the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce, talked about the emphasis the region has put on nanotechnology and its success in creating new jobs at such places as Watervliet Arsenal.
