Russia, S. Korea Sign Accords, Adopt Statement

Abstract:
Russian and South Korean presidents Dmitry Medvedev and Lee Myung-bak adopted a joint statement on Monday.

Also, a package of agreements was signed in the two leaders' presence.

Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) CEO Alexei Miller and chairman of the Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) Lee Ben Ho signed a memorandum of understanding on organizing natural gas shipments from Russia to South Korea.

Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Borodavkin and South Korean Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Yu Myung-hwan signed an intergovernmental agreement to relax visa procedures for brief mutual visits.

The head of the Russian Nanotechnology Corporation, Anatoly Chubais, and South Korea's Education, Science and Technology Minister Ahn Byong-man signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two agencies.
