UO to get academic gift of $74.5 million
Abstract:
The University of Oregon plans to announce Tuesday its largest academic donation ever, $74.5 million for science teaching and research from philanthropist and Business Wire founder Lorry I. Lokey.
About $50 million of the Lokey donation will go to supporting faculty and graduate students in a science initiative named after Lokey targeting advances in nanoscience and bioscience.
