An electric SUV? That's shocking

Abstract:
If pioneering work by a Reno company proves as significant as its officers claim, though, it could take some of the sting out of protecting the planet.

Altairnano (for nanotechnology; see the sidebar) rolled out its new all-electric sport-utility vehicle for shareholders at the Grand Sierra Resort last week. Most came away impressed -- and optimistic.
