Jamaica's fear of using WTO provisions hurting farmers, says Omer Thomas
Abstract:
Dr Thomas was speaking at the launch of Nano-Gro, a crop enhancer, developed by US firm Agro Nanotechnology Corporation, which is credited with a revolutionary new approach to increasing crop yield and quality as well as boosting plant immunity to diseases.
The product was launched jointly by Agro Nanotechnology and endorsed by the Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) at Eden Gardens in Kingston.
JAS president Senator Norman Grant said that the product could impact significantly on agricultural development in the Caribbean.
