Microtubules transfer molecular motors
Abstract:
Researchers at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Germany, the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Poland and the University of Florida, US, have used microtubules to place motor proteins onto surfaces in a specific orientation. The team believes that this is the first three-dimensionally oriented deposition of proteins on surfaces.
