Chemistry faculty to patent microchip

Abstract:
Western Michigan University faculty and students are working to develop small sensors that would be able to detect many kinds of chemical, biological and radiological agents -- those that could be used as potential terrorist weapons.

With more than $5.3 million in research grants, faculty and students are uncovering the secrets that lie within nanotechnology at the Nanotechnology Research and Computation Center on WMU's campus.
