Thinking Small Is the New Big Idea
Abstract:
Paul Fleury was recruited to Yale in 2001 from his position as dean of the University of New Mexico's School of Engineering. While home to some of the best scientists in the country, Yale's engineering department received scarce respect on campus or among the wider academic community. Today that has changed with a major investment by Yale. In June Fleury will step down as engineering dean to head up the new Yale Institute for Nanoscience & Quantum Engineering.
