Commerce secretary says globalization can help, hurt
Abstract:
Q Is there an emerging technology that you expect will create a lot of jobs in the U.S. during the next decade?
A There are things like nanotechnology and new energy technologies that are going to be huge sometime down the road. Clean coal technologies that will reshape our energy infrastructure and will also contribute to a cleaner environment. That will be big not just in the U.S., but all over the world. And what people out here are calling Web 2.0, that is a new stair step in the technology world. That's something that could last for years and be an engine of growth.
