Indo-Russia defence ties poised for quantum jump
Abstract:
In Bangalore, Ivanov would hold talks with representatives of Indian business including the public sector DRDO and ISRO. The Russian delegation would also discuss collaborating with ISRO on India's first mission to the Moon. The mission, with an operational life of about two years, is planned to be launched by 2007-08 using indigenous spacecraft and launch vehicles.
Russia is also keen to collaborate in high-technologies like IT, biotechnology, nanotechnology.
