Polymer Nanocomposites Create Exciting Opportunities
Abstract:
While still an embryonic segment of the plastics industry, nanocomposites comprising either nanoclays or nanocarbon fillers are expected to be a major growth segment for the plastics industry. Use of nanocomposites has steadily grown in automotive, packaging, and electronic applications. This nearly $75 million market will grow at rates exceeding 25% a year to reach over $250 million in 2008.
