University opens research lab

Abstract:
The University is becoming more involved with industry in the upstate, and a big step forward for the school's research capabilities in nanotechnology should involve it even more.

Construction for a $21 million advanced materials research lab was finished in August, and on Monday, Hitachi engineers were on hand to demonstrate some of the sophisticated equipment that it now houses.
