Spire Expands Orthopedic Processing Capacity

Abstract:
Spire Corporation announced today that Spire Biomedical, its wholly owned subsidiary, has expanded its ion implantation processing capabilities by qualifying a new ion implanter with its major customer to accommodate increased demand. Ion implantation is a nano-engineering solution for improving performance and longevity of artificial joint prostheses and other medical device components.
