Registration Begins for NNI Webinar on Characterization and Quantification of Engineered Nanomaterials

Registration is available for the National Nanotechnology Initiative's (NNI) April 9, 2019, webinar on "Characterization and Quantification of Engineered Nanomaterials: Drivers of NanoEHS Research." See https://events-na12.adobeconnect.com/content/connect/c1/1305935587/en/events/event/shared/1505387415/event_registration.html?connect-session=na12breezodqon4oi9ty5hhdn&sco-id=1997939561&_charset_=utf-8 The speaker will be Dr. Robert MacCuspie, Natural Immunogenics Corp., and Dr. Debra Kaiser, National Institute of Standards and Technology, will moderate. The webinar will examine the significant progress in characterization and measurement of engineered nanomaterials and highlight examples of research on the environmental, health, and safety effects of nanomaterials (nanoEHS) enabled by advances in nanometrology. Dr. MacCuspie will discuss the use of a tiered risk assessment approach to determine safe and effective levels of nanomaterials that can support the responsible development and commercialization of engineered nanomaterial-enabled products.

On May 16, 2019, NNI will hold a webinar on "NanoEHS Resources for Laboratory and Occupational Safety Risk Management" (in association with the American Chemical Society). Speakers include Dan Browning, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and Ken Kretchman, North Carolina State University. Dr. Chuck Geraci, NIOSH, will moderate.
