Abstract:
Diamon-Fusion International (DFI) and IGE Glass Technologies along with The Original Frameless Shower Doors announce the first FuseCube™ to be installed in the eastern US by a shower door manufacturer. In conjunction, The Original Frameless Shower Doors announces it will offer the Diamon-Fusion® hydrophobic coating as a standard feature on its complete inventory in order to differentiate its products in the marketplace. The application system, known as the FuseCube™, is fully automated to provide glass fabricators and manufacturers significant savings in both material and labor costs compared to the traditional spray-application coatings. With the smallest model having the ability to apply Diamon-Fusion® to both sides and edges of up to 75 standard size shower door panels - totaling 1,800 square feet of surface area - in approximately one hour, the FuseCube™ can coat fifteen times more surface area than manual spray-applied methods in the same factory footprint in a cleaner, safer and more reliable way and at a small fraction of the cost.

"We want to make a big statement with our new offering. We want consumers to see that The Original Frameless Shower Doors is adding a huge amount of value at a very compelling price point. DFI, their FuseCube™ and Diamon-Fusion® coating are helping us deliver on our vision" commented Mike High, VP of Operations, The Original Frameless Shower Doors. "We've been buying coated glass, but it was just too costly to make the offer work. We also considered a spray-applying coating, but the required labor and slow production process didn't make economic sense either. In the end, our analysis showed nothing offers the combination of quality and cost-effectiveness that the DFI's FuseCube™ does. We believe customers are going to love our products with Diamon-Fusion® as a standard feature even more than they did before!"

"When an innovative customer like The Original Frameless Shower Doors recognizes their savings will pay for the FuseCube™ in under a year, and has the vision to see how it will differentiate them from their competition, the move to use our automated coating system is simple." shared Russell Slaybaugh, Vice President and General Manager of DFI. "The automated system can cut time, material and labor costs up to 84% and takes up less space as volume grows. The FuseCube's massive cost and operational advantages have made offering a hydrophobic coating- as a standard feature a very affordable product upgrade. We appreciate leaders like Original Frameless Shower Doors with the vision to see the future and capitalize on it. The race goes to the swift-of-foot."

The new relationship between DFI and The Original Frameless Shower Doors was featured at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. "The time I spent in The Original Frameless Shower Doors booth talking with the attendees undoubtedly indicates that having Diamon-Fusion® as a standard feature is the differentiator they needed and will set them apart in the marketplace." stated Syndi Sim, Marketing Director, DFI. "The addition of Diamon-Fusion® is clearly going to drive additional business to The Original Frameless Shower Doors."
