"We're proud to partner with Jawbone to bring our award-winning WaterSafe™ nanotechnology to an entirely new genre of consumer electronics," said Danny McPhail, Liquipel's head of product development and co-founder. "Jawbone's best-loved wireless speakers, already designed to meet the high-demand needs of active users, are now available with protection from poolside splashes, extreme weather conditions and more, ensuring people's listening enjoyment won't be affected."

Using the latest advancements in nano-coatings, Liquipel's patent-pending process creates a microscopic liquid-repellant coating that becomes part of the device. Liquipel 2.0 is virtually untraceable and will not affect nor compromise the look, feel or performance of the treated device.

"Our customers love bringing their JAMBOX and MINI JAMBOX speakers with them everywhere to listen to their favorite music and entertainment -- from the kitchen table to the backyard, on a boat, to the pool, and even next to the tub or sink," said Travis Bogard, vice president of product management and strategy at Jawbone. "With the Liquipel option for JAMBOX and MINI JAMBOX, people now have the advantage of keeping their speaker safe from moisture without compromising style and design."

With Liquipel's treatment, Jawbone's JAMBOX and MINI JAMBOX are certified at an IPX-5 industry standard, defined as protected against water projected at all angles through a 6.3mm nozzle at a flow rate of 12.5 liters per minute at a pressure of 30kN/m2 for three minutes from a distance of three meters.

Pricing & Availability
Beginning today, customers may add Liquipel to any JAMBOX or MINI JAMBOX purchase on Jawbone.com for an additional $50.
