Centre for nanosciences in city

Abstract:
A centre for using nano technology in medical science will be opened at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham here on Saturday.

This is the first time that the Department of Science and Technology has given a grant for setting up a nanoscience centre in medicine, said Dr. Prem Nair, Medical Director of the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, at a press meet here on Friday. The Government has given Rs. 5 crore towards setting up the centre, mainly to acquire equipment.
