Nanotech Takes On Homeland Terror

Abstract:
Josh Wolfe: Nanotechnology has the potential to drastically enhance military operations and safety as well as homeland security. Advances in lightweight, nanoscale-engineered materials will protect soldiers on the battlefield from bullets and shrapnel while giving them extreme mobility. In case of injury, engineered bandages with embedded antimicrobial nanoparticles will stop deep bleeding in a matter of minutes and keep the wound free from infection.
