Building blocks on a molecular scale

Abstract:
Nanotechnology is a buzzword that often brings to mind images of microscopic gears and springs etched into silicon wafers. But if you really want to build nanomachines, ones measured in billionths of meters, or nanometers, it makes sense to consider the nanomachines of nature -- proteins.
