nCoat Announces Readiness for Increased Volume at NC Plant

WHITSETT, NC | Posted on April 2nd, 2007

nCoat, Inc. (OTCBB: NCOA) ("nCoat" or the "Company") today announced that the North Carolina-based state-of-the-art nano-coating application facility operated by its wholly owned subsidiary High Performance Coatings, Inc. ("HPC") has achieved targeted operational efficiencies. Utilizing protocols and systems designed with Six Sigma process focus and calculated for sustained increases in production capacity and product quality, the plant is now serving many high volume OEM and individual customers.

HPC designed and constructed the production plant to match precise customer needs. The facility is designed for three primary functions: high efficiency, high volume, and superior quality control. Multiple manufacturing lines can be rapidly designed, engineered, and constructed for expansion to accommodate large OEM and targeted aftermarket applications. Automated systems ensure large OEM customers can be serviced on a quick turnaround basis. Additional key features incorporated into the plant design include state-of-the-art curing equipment, production lines setup to run high volume production up to 3 times faster and low volume production 2 times faster than comparable facilities.

Planning for the facility included studies to ensure that plant logistics were adapted to specific customer needs. This included site selection and layout ensuring ease of access by trucking companies and equipment providers serving HPC OEM customers. By locating in the east, management calculates significant customer savings on the order of tens of thousands of dollars via reduced transportation costs. This near proximity to the customer base lessens logistical factors that can tremendously affect just-in-time inventory practices.

"We designed this plant for our customers need for high production capacity and to lower their logistical risk in meeting just-in-time inventory requirements," said Terry R. Holmes, President of nCoat. "With over 300 automotive and truck manufacturing as well as parts manufacturing facilities within 200 miles of this plant, our proximity and volume capacity makes this facility efficient for a large number of customers."

Since October 2006, the North Carolina state-of-the-art nano-coating application facility has been moving through a series of stages offering solutions to large OEM customers with great success and flexibility in adapting to meet the customer's ongoing needs. By providing product solutions for high heat management, extreme corrosion management, abrasion reduction, friction reduction, lubritic, appearance, and high bond strength coatings, the company has the capacity to handle a broad range of customers in multiple industries. The plant currently boasts nine overhead sky cranes strategically sited to move high volumes of material rapidly and efficiently. The plant also utilizes environmentally efficient, fully enclosed coating booths designed to keep workers safe and to contain all fugitive coatings sprays from infiltrating the work areas.

The existing plant was designed to grow as customer needs expand and is fully capable of implementing a total of five production lines as well as specialty coatings production for extreme heat management. HPC management further plans to install additional robotics for increased volume production as the Company grows.

In related news, management wishes to remind the public that on April 5th, HPC is sponsoring the "HPC Big Dog Shootout" event at the Piedmont Dragway (10 miles from the plant) in celebration of the racetrack's 50th anniversary of motorsport. On Friday, April 6th, the Company will be hosting the official grand opening at the new headquarters plant in Whitsett, North Carolina. The day celebrates both nCoat and HPC's involvement with the multi-faceted High Performance Coatings world of automotive solutions. The date features the official opening, and includes numerous displays of racecars, classic cars, street rods, import cars, leisure, and other specialty vehicles from a number of clubs and organizations including OTR trucking, recreational vehicles, motorcycles and more.
