Measuring nanotechnology in business terms
Abstract:
According to NYSTAR's figures, The Center for Advanced Technology in Nanomaterials and Nanoelectronics at the state University at Albany has turned $7 million in state money into an economic impact of $1.1 billion and created 1,104 technology jobs from 1997 through 2004. In addition, the nanotechnology investments should be credited with retaining another 384 jobs.
