Election-bound Perdue unveils budget
Abstract:
Gov. Sonny Perdue unveiled an $18.6 billion budget plan on Wednesday that boosted state spending for the second straight year and poured money into schools. The budget includes $447 million in bonds for classroom construction, new equipment and 1,000 new school buses. Another $38 million in bonds would complete construction of a Nanotechnology Center at Georgia Tech.
