Summits aim to open lanes that lead north

Abstract:
"Transportation defines the Quebec/New York corridor," said Gary Douglas, president of the Plattsburgh-North County Chamber of Commerce, a passionate supporter of the New York/Quebec economic summits.

Now, Douglas is eagerly anticipating the third New York/Quebec summit with Pataki since 2002 -- and the first in Albany. It is set for Oct. 5 and will feature nanotechnology and the need for venture capital to foster high-tech research.
