Dems want broader eco-devo efforts

Abstract:
Senate Democrats on Tuesday called for state economic developers to broaden their effort to include the technology industry, instead of chiefly tourism.

Sen. Maryanne Keller, D-Wheat Ridge: "We should be a national player in terms of nanotechnology and biotech," she said. "I want to change the direction of the Office of Economic Development."
