Taking global energy quest to nano level
Abstract:
Nanostructured materials will be a key ingredient for meeting the rapidly increasing energy demands of the world's population, MIT physics professor Mildred Dresselhaus said in a plenary lecture delivered at the Materials Research Society's Fall Meeting in Boston this month. Creating a sustainable energy supply represents a fundamental "grand challenge" for the engineering community, in her view.
