Business advocates hope city can become a nanotech hub
Abstract:
Last month's Micro Nano Breakthrough Conference in Portland was a coming-out party of sorts for the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute, the fledgling public-private research center that opened on Hewlett-Packard's local campus in May. But will any of the luster rub off on Corvallis, bolstering the local economy with high-paying tech jobs? That question drew mixed responses recently. (more on earlier article)
