Abstract:
Washington State University Vancouver becomes a four-year school with 20,000 students thanks in part to collaborative faculty research with industry in the emerging fields of nanotechnology and semiconductor materials science. Students, meanwhile, clamor for their own 40,000-seat football stadium. Team name? The fighting Sturgeons.
