Industry, academia continue to hit it off

Abstract:
The relationship fostered by industry and academia on the research and development front continues to blossom. For the most part, it's a marriage of convenience. But it's also a mutually beneficial one, and both parties-so far-appear happy with the arrangement. Hitachi formed a nanotechnology alliance with Hokkaido University in April and has a separate agreement with Kyoto University. The tie-up with Hitachi is Keio University's first with a corporation.
