University approves first phase of Arizona Biodesign Institute

Abstract:
The first phase of the Arizona Biodesign Institute, part of an effort to propel Arizona State University into the realm of global biosciences and technology, got the go-ahead from the Board of Regents last week. ASU hopes the complex will usher the university into emerging fields such as biotechnology, nanotechnology and information technology.
